User Question: Hello, my question is: will I get deported? I came to the USA legally in 2019 and sought asylum, but my lawyer has ghosted me. I got married, and it has been 4 years. I also have a daughter. The immigration court says to reschedule my interview. My lawyer made me miss 3 interviews over 3 years. Please help. I have no convictions or criminal history. I have been filing taxes with my wife for 3 years and have an ITIN.

Expert Answer: Missing multiple hearings can be serious, but since the court is allowing you to reschedule, you may still have options. First, check if you have been ordered removed by calling the EOIR hotline (1-800-898-7180). If not, you should immediately file a **Motion to Reschedule** or **Motion to Reopen** if needed. Since you are married to a U.S. citizen, you may also be eligible for **adjustment of status through marriage** instead of asylum. You should consult a new immigration attorney as soon as possible to explore the best path forward and avoid removal risks.
