Please help 🙏 I filed my asylum application in 2019 with the help of an attorney in Texas. When I filled out my application and my story, my attorney made some changes. Now, I'm planning to move to another state, transfer my case there, and hire a new attorney. However, my original attorney is not giving me details about what changes were made to my story. Is there any way I can find out what was submitted in my application by myself? Thank you 🙏

Yes, you can request a copy of your asylum application and case details by filing a **Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request** with USCIS. Use **Form G-639 (FOIA Request)** or submit an online request through the USCIS FOIA portal. If your case is in immigration court, you can file a FOIA request with EOIR. Additionally, you can contact the USCIS asylum office or check your court records if applicable. If you hire a new attorney, they can also assist in obtaining your file.
