User Question: I submitted my EAD application two weeks ago via mail after reaching 150 days. However, I have yet to receive a receipt notice or email. Is this a normal delay, or should I reapply online?

Expert Answer: It is normal for USCIS to take 2-4 weeks to issue a receipt notice for a mailed EAD application. If you haven’t received a notice after 30 days, you can check if your payment was processed (if you paid by check, see if it was cashed). You may also contact USCIS for an update. Reapplying online is not recommended unless your original application was lost or rejected, as submitting duplicate applications can cause complications.
